Some people read the room, others feel it, overthink it, miss the point entirely or notice a tiny detail no one else saw and now can’t unsee it.
Welcome to the neurodivergent brain.
I should know. I’ve got one too.
Yep, I’m both ADHD and autistic. A delightful cocktail of distraction, obsession, sensitivity and sharp wit. And honestly? Once I truly embraced that part of myself, Casual Merch made even more sense.
Because if your brain runs on chaos, curiosity, and overanalysis, whether that’s ADHD, autism, or a bonus blend of both. You know, clothing isn’t just clothing. It’s communication. It’s mood. It’s armour. Sometimes, it’s the only way to say what you mean without actually having to explain anything.
That’s why subtle merch works so well.
Except… here’s the twist: sometimes subtle just doesn’t cut it.
Sometimes you want to wear the loudest inside joke of your life.
Sometimes you want your hoodie to punch harder than your social battery can. And sometimes, you’re just really vibing with a bold, in-your-face reference that screams “I watched this show on VHS, and it rewired my brain permanently.”
It depends on the day.
Some days you want low-key. Other days you want main character energy.
And that’s the beauty of Casual Merch, it’s built for that mental switch. For the people who feel everything in high-definition. For the ones who live in nuance but still light up at a nostalgic punchline or a deep-cut quote from their childhood. Subtle doesn’t mean boring. It means intentional.
We make designs that feel like a wink, a nod, a knowing glance. Sometimes soft. Sometimes sharp. Sometimes just one word that carries an entire backstory.
Because if you’ve ever found comfort in a reference only three other people would understand… you’re in the right place.
If you’ve ever worn a shirt that felt like a social boundary and a power move… you’re absolutely our kind of person.
This isn’t just a brand slapped on neurodivergents. It’s not about broadcasting a diagnosis.
It’s about expressing who you are, or how you feel, without having to decode it out loud.
Because let’s face it:Sometimes you want your clothes to do the talking. Sometimes you want them to help you not talk. And sometimes, you just want a shirt that gets you, even if no one else does.
So whether your head’s full of tabs you forgot to close, or you’re replaying an awkward moment from 2007 at 3am…
Whether you like your humour passive-aggressive or proudly weird…
Whether you want subtle or striking, or a rotation of both depending on the day, you’re not alone.
Of course, I did not only make this for people like me. Hell no, I made it for everyone, because maybe you don't have your brain wired like mine...but everyone has days he doesn't want to say his thoughts out loud. Wants to have a little giggle or make a statement without saying the words.
Or, in true Casual Merch style:
Laugh a little. Rebel a little. Show a little.
